The Ministry of Culture, the Museums Commission, and the EU Delegation to Saudi Arabia are pleased to introduce a comprehensive training program focused on Museum Management and Development. 

This initiative aims to bolster participants’ understanding and proficiency in museum development strategies, closely adhering to EU best practices and standards. With a firm commitment to fostering sustainable museums and advancing the objectives set forth in Saudi Vision 2030, these workshops offer a unique opportunity for professional growth and sectoral advancement.

Participation in the program is complimentary; however, prospective attendees must register in advance to secure their placement. 

The workshop spans five days and promises to be a transformative learning experience for all involved. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be awarded a prestigious certificate, acknowledging their dedication and expertise in museum management and development.


The topics to be discussed during the workshop are the following:

Day 1: A brief history of museums and the transformation of their role in our societies.

Day 2: Different models of museum: management and economic insights.

Day 3: Community engagement programs for museums.

Day 4: The museums and their link to cultural sites – ecosystems, museums actors and works.

Day 5: General introduction to collection management and museum startup process.
